Canon Australia today announces the LV-8235 UST, its first ultra-short throw projector with the ability to project an 80-inch image (203.2cm) from only 32cm – one of the shortest projection distances possible. Combined with 3D projection and various mounting options, the projector will be a favourite for classrooms, business presentations, digital signage applications and more.

“We are excited to add the LV-8235 UST ultra-throw projector to the Canon range. The ability to project such a large image of 80 inches from only 32cm makes this projection distance one of the shortest in the world. This makes it perfect for classroom and boardroom situations ensuring the presenter is not casting shadows on the projected image and is not impacted by the brightness of the projector lens,” said Anna Kalinowska, Brand Manager – Projector, Canon Australia.

“With key features like 2,500 lumens brightness, WXGA image resolution and a built-in 10W speaker, presentations with the LV-8235 UST are clear and bright and delivered in crystal clear sound”.

Combining the Frame Sequential Display Method with short focal length technology, it is possible to project 3D video in extremely limited spaces. Now there are a range of possibilities available for new and creative projection.

"Projectors are no longer exclusive to boardrooms and classrooms. With ultra-short throw technology, projection can now translate into an impressive variety of applications. For example, menus can be projected at the entrance of restaurants to innovatively display daily specials. Also the high impact 3D projection can be used to attract visitors to a museum where the content of an exhibit can be brought to life. Businesses developing building models can make persuasive and impressive presentations bringing these to life for their clients eliminating the need for modelling. ”

The LV-8235 UST can be used as a great source of entertainment, capable of projecting 3D gaming – users can feel a part of the game. The model supports the NIVIDIA 3D visions system so gamers can enjoy over 400 PC games on a vibrant, big screen.

Combining the short distance projection and compact lightweight size, the LV-8235 UST is versatile, providing users with a variety of mounting options. With four mounting options to choose from – on the ceiling, floor, low table and behind a screen/storefront – the creative possibilities for projecting content are endless.
