Canon realigns and appoints GM to lead PPS group
Canon Australia today announced it has realigned its production print systems (PPS) team to create a group comprised of sales, marketing, service, training and professional services that is focused on Canon’s production print customers.
Paul Thompson has been appointed as General Manager of PPS in Australia and will lead the newly formed group. With over 15 years experience in the production and commercial print space, Paul has worked with leading print vendors in both the UK and Australia.

Commenting on the announcement, Craig Manson, Director, Canon Business Imaging, Canon Australia said: “These changes will see us continue on our journey of becoming more customer focused and we are confident that they will enable our PPS team to better service our current and future customers. Paul’s experience in the commercial print industry and knowledge of digital print will see him play a pivotal part in the success of the PPS group.”

In his most recent role, Paul was State Manager for NSW/ACT at Currie Group, prior to this Paul was Regional Sales Manager NSW, QLD and ACT Production Print for Océ, in addition to sales roles at both Océ Australia and Xerox (UK), in the production print environment.
This announcement follows the creation of two new groups within Marketing, Sales & Services – Canon Business Imaging (CBI) and Canon Consumer Imaging (CCI) - which deliver office solutions and consumer products respectively.
