Canon Australia today announced Wantirna South Medical Centre as the winner of its 2009 Laser Printer Tax Time promotion – a retail offer designed to support small businesses with financial support and strategic counsel.

The family practice has been serving the Victorian community of Knox since 1986 and thanks to Canon Australia is the lucky recipient of $25,000 that will be put towards upgrading the company’s operations. They also recieve a consultation with small business expert David Koch and his team, Kochie’s Business Builders.

“The $25,000 from Canon will have a tremendous impact on our business,” said Dr Harry Djumas, co-founder and co-owner of Wantirna South Medical Centre. “We are also thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Kochie’s Business Builders to look at ways that we can improve efficiency as we move into 2010.”

The Canon Laser Printer Tax Time promotion attracted significant interest from small business operators looking to improve their performance and take advantage of this opportunity to get a head start in 2010.

“We are pleased to be supporting the Wantirna South Medical Centre and the vital role it plays in the community,” said Alyson Barden, Brand Manager - Laser, Canon Australia. “Together with the $25,000 from Canon, the one-on-one session with Kochie’s Business Builders will address specific challenges and opportunities to improve performance outcomes for the Medical Centre.”

Also meeting with Kochie’s Business Builders recently was the winner of Canon’s Back to Work promotion - Fred Ogden. Owner of Southern Suburbs Radiators, an automotive radiator supply and repair company based in Sydney’s Blakehurst, Ogden sought advice on investing the $25,000 from Canon in growth strategies to ensure the future competitiveness of his company as well as transition plans as he heads into retirement.

“We saw a strong response to this year’s Laser printer promotions, offering small businesses strategic and financial support,” said Barden. “In 2010, Canon will continue to invest in the Laser printer category, working with key resellers and retailers to develop engaging offers that deliver real benefits to the small business community.”
