Consumer Warning Scratch Ticket Scam

Canon Australia today issued a warning to consumers that Malaysian based VMAC Holidays, is distributing scratch tickets to Australian consumers, claiming that Canon is an official sponsor of this competition.

Canon does not have a sponsorship arrangement with this company.

Consumers should not attempt to claim any of the “prizes” nor should they provide any personal or financial details to this organisation as Canon believes this is a scam.

If you believe you have been scammed you should report the scam to the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission at their SCAMwatch website www.scamwatch.gov.au

Canon is treating this matter seriously and has notified the relevant authorities.
