ClearCorp like most accounting firms, works extensively with paper. The small firm has a consistent workload throughout the year, but a huge peak at tax-time – which had put a strain on its ten employees. Now, instead of hiring new staff, it has a smart new way to work.
"We view the ability to handle faxes from the desktop a step in the right direction towards a paperless office."

Wellington Institute of Technology and Canon
With the changing nature of students’ learning habits and the uptake of technology becoming a rapid trend, WelTec recognised the advantages of providing an interactive audio visual learning environment. The time had certainly come to make old overhead projectors redundant.
Canon presented a state-of-the-art audio visual solution including projectors, interactive smart board technology and fully customised lecture theatre systems. The entire solution was designed specifically for the needs of the institute, the implementation and project management handled by a Canon team as classrooms were fitted with projectors, smart whiteboards and audio systems. The large lecture theatres were kitted with custom built sympodium systems comprising of screens, projectors, wireless technology and full audio systems.
"It is amazing to see the changes, this new technology is not only engaging students on a whole new level but is changing the way teachers teach!"

Two of the biggest challenges facing Whitireia Polytechnic were security and the use across all campuses of single function devices that took up valuable space and were inefficient from an energy consumption and service delivery perspective.
A team of Canon experts went onsite to analyse the environment and requirements, and from this a comprehensive functional specification was developed. Following a competitive tender process, Canon was given the go-ahead to begin work on a totally integrated solution.
"We were impressed by the functionality of the devices installed; in some cases we replaced eight existing machines with 1 Canon MFD. This led to networked devices and a huge saving on space and power."
Inky’s Print ‘n’ Copy and Canon
Multifunction
Inky’s is a small operation, employing a staff of seven employees, including manager Jonathan Hawkins. According to Hawkins, this further enhances the need for reliable, quick printing equipment to maintain productivity and increase business.
According to Hawkins, after installing the imagePRESS C7010VP, Inky’s output has grown tremendously, allowing the company to easily manage their current accounts, acquire new business and bring projects back inhouse.
"We looked at the imagePRESS C7010VP and it fit exactly what we were looking for... the ability to use conventional gloss offset stocks as well as textured paper and carded stocks also was a big plus. We’ve also taken on a lot of other work, producing what we used to outsource at offset-quality."
