About Extreme Imaging 2012
The Extreme Imaging competition focuses on imaging science projects where students make equipment that can produce images beyond the boundaries of creative photography and video.
Canon's success has been based on taking the extremes of imaging science and image analysis, and bringing them in our everyday life. The competition gives Canon the opportunity to celebrate excellence and creativity in Australian research in imaging. Any students can enter as long as imaging is at the heart of the project - they may be from different areas such as astronomy, engineering, microscopy, physics or medicine.
The prize has been established to encourage students to extend the boundaries of imaging technology within their disciplines. We hope the prize will support some of the best research in imaging to create and invent new ways of looking beyond what we can see now.
Up for grabs is $5000 for the winning student or student group and $5000 for their supervisor!
Other prizes include over $5000 worth of Canon equipment, including a Canon EOS 5D Mark III, and a new undergraduate prize of $1000 for student and supervisor!
