IE9 Compatibility Issue with Canon Printer Drivers

It has come to our attention that when users print from Windows Internet Explorer 9 (IE9), they may sometimes receive the following error message and are unable to print the document. This is due to the incompatibility of IE9 with the Canon printer driver.

When you select to print from IE9 with the Canon PCL5, PCL6 or PS3 drivers the following error message appears:

Selecting either Yes or No does not resolve the issue as the print spool file is already deleted from the queue when this message appears.

If the user selects to Print Preview and then print, a different error appears as follows:

What to do:

We recommend that users obtain an update package from Microsoft to resolve this issue.
