Canon Australia today announced the complete home and business imaging solution, the imageCLASS MP730. Integrating Canon's market leading colour copying, scanning, faxing and photo printing technologies into one compact package, the imageCLASS MP730 has all the imaging needs of the small office covered.
"With the rapid expansion of the multifunctional device market in Australia, Canon has responded by extending our range to include a wider variety of affordable devices that feature fax, scan, print and copy functions in one unit," said Helena van der Pluijm, Product Manager, Consumer Products Imaging Group, Canon Australia. "We're very excited about the release of the imageCLASS MP730 because this machine really is the ultimate. It combines the best of Canon's technologies to provide advanced, simple solutions to our users."
The stylish design of the imageCLASS MP730 and MP700, also launched today, is based on the popular imageCLASS MPC400 and MPC600F models.
"The easily accessible user interface of the imageCLASS range is designed to improve productivity, and the operation panel puts every command, as well as media slots for digital camera enthusiasts, at the user's fingertips," added Ms van der Pluijm.
Delivering high-quality copies at speeds of up to 14 copies per minute (cpm) in colour and 22 cpm in black and white, the imageCLASS MP730 scans documents and photos at a maximum resolution of 9600 dpi in 48-bit colour depth. Additionally, it offers exceptional quality printing with speeds of up to 22 pages-per-minute (ppm) in black and white and 14 ppm in colour, and fast 4" x 6" and A4 borderless photos.
In addition to these features found on the imageCLASS MP700, the new imageCLASS MP730 has the added capability of faxing with a 33.6 Kbps Super G3 fax with colour capability and a 30 sheet Automatic Document Feed (ADF). A monochrome page takes as little as three seconds to fax. The memory can store up to 250 incoming pages to prevent the loss of fax documents, should the machine run out of ink or paper**. In addition, PC-to-Fax capability allows for fax transmission directly from a PC without the need to print the document first.
"The Canon imageCLASS MP730 photo printer, copier, fax and scanner is designed for performance and creativity. Each function provides the versatility to make an impressive visual impact - no matter what your imaging requirements are today or in the future," said Ms van der Pluijm. "This machine provides the solutions to enable your business to be more organised, productive and creative."
