Sydney, 18th June 2007 - Canon Australia has introduced a new range of 8 new monochrome imageRUNNER devices and a new high speed colour imageRUNNER device specially designed to address workgroup printing, scanning, copying, faxing, and extensive document distribution/management requirements. This next-generation of advanced Canon imageRUNNER engines provide superior productivity and feature powerful tools that allow users to customise workflow. The products ship with a host of data storage and security advancements choices to protect confidential information.
The imageRUNNER 3025, 3030, 3035, and 3045 models all ship with dual 550-sheet paper cassettes and a 50-sheet stack bypass, along with a maximised print resolution of 2400 x 600 dpi.
The higher-end iR5055, iR5065 and iR5075 models boost capacity to two 1,500 sheet paper drawers, two 550 sheet paper cassettes and a 50-sheet stack bypass and a 1200 x 1200 dpi print resolution.
The high speed colour imageRUNNER C5185 is perfectly suited to the demanding office environment, and boasts dual 550 sheet paper cassettes along with a 100 sheet bypass and an optional 2700 sheet side paper deck. Further, an optimised print resolution of 9600 x 1200dpi and Canon's flat-four single pass print engine ensures consistent, uninterrupted throughput
All new models feature Canon's large user-friendly colour LCD touch display and keypad, and the workhorse iR5055 / iR5065 / iR5075 models each boast a 100-sheet single-pass duplex scanner/feeder. The new monochrome devices range in speed from 25 pages per minute (ppm) for the imageRUNNER iR3025 up to 75ppm for the imageRUNNER iR5075. The iR C5185 has an output speed of 51ppm in both full colour and monochrome
The imageRUNNER devices offer superior productivity and the tightest possible integration with existing network infrastructure including comprehensive Microsoft® Vista support.

Optional Universal Send (standard on the iRC5185) functionality provides a fast, secure and inexpensive way to distribute documents. You can distribute scanned data from the imageRUNNER to multiple destinations simply and simultaneously, including individuals or groups of e-mail, Fax addresses, internal Mail Boxes, network or host files and folders, and to document management applications such as Canon imageWARE Document Manager.
The latest imageRUNNER devices offer a variety of document, device and data security options such as User Signature PDF and Secure Watermark help maintain security and meet compliance obligations. Furthermore, the devices feature standard support for Canon's MEAP (Multifunctional Embedded Application Platform) solutions, allowing the integration of customised applications to seriously enhance everyday workflow and productivity.
Extra features like Job Block Combination simplifies the production of complex documents by scanning and merging multiple batches of originals saved with different settings, while a range of finishing options including gutter-less and automatic saddle-stitched booklet making, stacking, document insertion, C-fold and Z-fold, provide a cost-effective way to bring professional document production in-house.
