Tuesday, 10 June 2008 - Canon Australia and Australia's Stratatel Group have today launched Softlog.Enterprise software, an integrated cost recovery and management solution that works directly with Canon imageRUNNER devices.

Softlog.Enterprise enables Australian business to track, analyse and allocate the cost of every printed, copied, scanned, faxed, or emailed document direct from their Canon imageRUNNER Multifunction Device (MFD).

Utilising Canon's unique MEAP (multi-functional embedded application platform) technology, most interaction with the Softlog.Enterprise software can be done directly from the device's touch screen panel - providing customers with a simple and integrated solution to manage office expenditure.

Softlog.Enterprise is based on a modular design that means it can be easily customised to meet an organisation's individual needs. Individual components can be easily licensed to manage costs and create a tailored cost recovery and management tool. By interacting with the imageRUNNER touch screen users can easily configure the tool to bill to client accounts, business units or simply track and monitor production. It can also monitor telephone and other office expenses.

"The Canon onboard solution is a real improvement to the previous PC hardware," explained Merrilyn Duckett, Administration Manager, Champion Legal. "With our old hardware we had numerous crashes and reloads. With Canon we don't have any issues at all. Our print recovery levels increased by 75% last month and we are very happy with the result."

Softlog.Enterprise also provides flexibility through personalising the software to fit any business. Personal lists and look ups can be preset for all users, making it easy to navigate the system. The software will automatically create a "most recently used code" list for each user, further improving efficiency.

Pricing is entirely flexible and can be tailored to individual requirements. Multiple pricing structures can be created for chargeable services, allowing customers to charge the appropriate price rate per job, contract, purpose or client. Even internal costs can be monitored, each at their own pricing rate.
