When does the promotion begin and end?
The promotion starts at 5am (AEDST) on the 1st November 2011 and ends at 5pm (AEDST) on the 16th January 2012.

Will late entries be accepted?
No. Entries will not be received after 5pm 16th January 2012.

How do I enter?
You can enter into the 'Canon Island 2011' promotion by spending $90 or more on ANY Canon products in one transaction from a participating retailer. Purchases can be singular or multiple to make up the $90 value – this must be within one transaction.

How many times can I enter?

  • Only one entry is permitted per household per day
  • One entry is permitted per qualifying transaction

How can I enter?
You can only enter the promotion online:

  1. Go to www.canon.com.au/canonisland
  2. OR you can scan the QR code found on entry leaflets in-store

What is a QR code?
A Quick Response code is a 2D barcode that allows you to download information onto your smartphone.

How does a QR code work?
Firstly to scan a code with your smartphone you will need a QR scanner app (this can be downloaded for free from app sites). To scan launch the QR scanner app, hold your phone up so the camera can scan the code. The phone will then automatically take you to the online website entry page.

How do I win?
When you spend over $90 or more on Canon products in one transaction and enter online you will receive the following entries:

  • 1 entry into the Canon Island Instant Win competition.
  • 1 entry in to the Daily $500 gift card / cheque Draw. Entries are only valid for one Daily Draw, they do not rollover into proceeding draws.
  • An extra entry for shoppers who purchase through the online Canon Store. This will be in the Canon Store Bonus Draw to win 1 x double pass to Canon Island.

What and where is 'Canon Island'?
It’s a secret location with secret experiences. We can tell you that it’s an Australian Island and each day on the island we are creating a magical world which includes themes such as Arabian Nights, an Underwater Paradise and Carnivale Circus. What does the prize involve and how many prizes are there to be won?
Major Prizes – Canon Island:

  • 57 x double passes to Canon Island to be won instantly.
  • 1 x double pass to Canon Island to be won in the online Canon Store - Bonus Draw.

Double pass prizes to Canon Island include:

  • 2 x return economy airfare tickets to Canon Island from winner's nearest capital city
  • 3 x night’s Accommodation
  • Meals & Entertainment

Daily Prizes:

  • 3 x $500 (gift card / cheque) daily prize draws.

For the Daily Prize can I use my Gift Card at any of the participating retailers?
No, shoppers who purchase from one of the following retailers will receive a $500 gift card for the same retailer. All other purchases made from other retailers receive a $500 cheque.

Retailer Gift Card prizes are subject to specific retailer gift card terms and conditions.

When will the winners be drawn?

  • Canon Island Instant Win prizes – You will be notified immediately on screen after your entry if you are a winner of the Canon Island prize.
  • Gift card prize draws will be drawn each day of the promotion (between 2nd November 2011 and 17th January 2012). You will receive an email as written confirmation if you have won.
  • Online Canon Store Bonus Canon Island Draw – 1 winner will be drawn at 2.30pm AEDST on 18th January 2012.

What happens once I’ve won?
All winners are allocated a unique winning code:

  • Instant Winners will be shown on screen
  • All winners (instant/daily/major) will be emailed your unique winning code
  • The unique code will also be automatically linked to your MyCanon account

Winners of both Canon Island and $500 prizes will be required to validate their entry in order to claim their prize. This can only be done by completing the online form at www.canon.com.au/winners

Once the form is completed you will then need to:

  1. Upload your proof of purchase (tax invoice / store receipt), or
  2. Print out the completed form and post with a copy of your proof of purchase NB: The postal address is on the validation form

What proof of purchase do I need in order to claim my prize?
You must retain your original tax invoice (s) for all entries as proof of purchase and any warranty card material for proof of the Participating Product’s original distributorship.

When / how will I receive my prize?
Once you have been verified as a winner you will be notified in writing via email and given specific instructions on when and how to claim your prize.

What is a MyCanon account?
This is your own personal account that will allow you to participate in the promotion. You cannot enter into this promotion without setting up the account first.
