Canon Digital Press Is BAPC's Product Of Year

The British Association for Print and Communication (BAPC) has elected Canon's Imagepress C7000VP as the product of the year.
Tuesday, 13 November 2007 - One hundred 100 print executives voted for the Imagepress at the BAPC conference in Marlow (UK).

The Canon press topped a shortlist of nine products from various manufacturers. Canon said that the Imagepress C7000VP can provide a true resolution of 1,200 dots per inch (dpi) at speeds of 70 colour pages-per-minute.

Ben Milford, head of professional print marketing at Canon Business Solutions, said: 'It was extremely pleasing to collect the award on the night as it was voted for by print executives - the very people who make purchasing decisions.

The Imagepress C7000VP is an exceptional product and illustrates our commitment to the sector.

Feedback from our customers tells us that it's a press that can deliver high quality short-run jobs or variable data work at speed.
The first Imagepress C7000VP installations were in June and we are confident that there will be 50 in the UK by the end of 2007.' Sidney Bobb, BAPC's chairman added: 'It was an extremely successful conference for the BAPC and the feedback that we've had has been excellent.

Canon has brought some innovative products to market that are supported by software and underpinned by Canon's Essential Business Builder Program, on which the BAPC has worked closely with the Canon team.

Our congratulations go to Canon and the other winners that were also recognised by their peers on the night.'
