April 2, 2008 - Last Wednesday, Canon hosted the launch of its IXUS brand campaign and product line up at Wharf 8, Darling Harbour. Media, Canon resellers and celebrities flooded the venue, snapping pictures of five stylised scenes which matched Canon's new IXUS 80 IS camera range colours.
The event profiled Canon's $2.5-million brand campaign and the announcement of a major in-store promotion that includes the chance to win a $26,000 trip for two to New York. Partnerships including Sydney Fashion Weekend featuring the IXUS Catwalk were also highlighted. The stylish launch included celebrity chef Pete Evans, fashion models, stylists and designers. Celebrities such as Joh Bailey, Damien Walsh, Ryan Phelan and Jonathan Pease were also among the trigger happy.
