The Northern Rivers Wildlife Carers' mission is to rescue, record, rehabilitate and release injured native wildlife. The group is compiling a detailed database of information and images of animals taken into care. Digital imagery of injured animals is a critical resource for species-specific co-ordinators and carers in enabling them to take fast remedial action. The group's education program also uses images for internal training and to promote issues involving wildlife to schools and the general community in the Northern Rivers region. The Canon Grant will be used to obtain a digital SLR camera, purpose-specific lenses and accessories to enable high-quality images to be captured. |
