26x optical zoom

The VB-C50i boasts the best magnification in the industry, thanks to a genuine Canon 26x optical zoom lens and 12x digital zoom (312x combined). Teamed with Canon's professional quality photo optics, it's perfect for detailed monitoring of large areas.

Clear, continuous video

Clear, continuous video footage of 25 frames per second is a highlight of the VB-C50i. However, for flexibility, the camera's multi-streaming feature simultaneously broadcasts video in three file sizes from which the viewer can choose, including 768 x 576, 384 x 288 and 192 x 144 pixels in PAL format.

Smooth remote movement

When it comes to ease of movement, the VB-C50i has no comparison. The centre mounted pan and tilt mechanism is smooth, precise and pin-drop quiet. Its fast, vibration-free engine even enables wide-ranging pan and tilt angels for capturing panoramic images.

Exceptional low light performance

Low light is no problem for the VB-C50i. It's able to capture colour video in as little as one lux of illumination, automatic noise reduction keeping images crystal clear. The latest enhancement to this model - infra-red night mode - means that black & white images can be captured even in complete darkness.

Easy web-based monitoring

The camera's built-in web and FTP server supports many protocols for easy, direct connection to the web and practically any network. What's more, up to 50 viewers can access the system simultaneously.

Motion detection and auto tracking

With the advanced motion detecion feature, up to four selected areas can be monitored in a single scene. The area, sensitivity and duration of movement required to detect motion can be set independently for each. The auto tracking feature moves the camera in response to motion and captures images automatically.

Programmable viewing angles

Up to 20 pre-set viewing angles can be programmed for monitoring broad areas. By pre-setting pan, tilt and zoom positions, the camera can be moved quickly to check specific locations. They can be linked to form a pre-set tour for continuous monitoring of a number of locations at set intervals.

Advanced audio capability

This new optional feature allows you to be heard at the camera position by adding a speaker to the camera and a microphone to your computer.
It's provided by the Admin Viewer in the optional Multiterminal Module which features Voice Activation Detection and Comfort Noise Generation to ensure high-quality audio.

Extra large memory

The VB-C50i includes 15MB of inbuilt memory, providing ample image storage. What's more, you can choose to be notified by email when a sensor is triggered or if motion is detected, with the image included or text only.

Options

Optional Multi-Terminal Module VB-EX50 for connection to external video cameras, sensors, alarms, and speakers for audio output.
Optional Wide-Converter WL-37 has a magnification lens of .74x, and when attached to the VB-C50i, expands the field of view to 60º.
