Fast Scanning - even in colour
With an advanced three-line CMOS sensor, the DR-4010C can scan documents in colour just as quickly as black and white - at a fast 42 pages per minute. Additionally, the JPEG compression feature reduces the time it takes to transfer data to your workstation.
Versatile dual paper path
The DR-4010C handles a diverse range of document types with ease, thanks to an innovative dual paper path. The u-turn paper path ensures fast regular scanning while a straight paper path takes care of thick items such as cardboard and plastic ID cards.
Superior colour reproduction
The three-line CMOS sensor is also responsible for the exceptional accuracy of the colour scans. Combined with the three-dimensional colour correction chip, the DR-4010C delivers vivid 24-bit scans that are true to the original document and free of unwanted colour staining.
Reliable document feeding
For protection against double feeds, the scanner uses ultrasonic sensors to detect the gap between overlapping pages. If a misfeed does occur, the rapid recovery system enables you to simply reposition the document and continue scanning.
Simple one-touch scanning
Three customisable job buttons offer quick access to frequently used scan functions. Routine jobs such as scan to e-mail are easily assigned using the scanner's job registration tool to enable one-touch scanner control.
Automatic colour detection
You'll never need to separate black and white and colour documents ever again thanks to automatic colour detection. This scanning mode detects the amount of colour on each page and determines which documents in a mixed batch are scanned in colour.
Consistent image quality
Prior to each scan job, the DR-4010C performs an automatic calibration process which shifts the image sensor to calibrate itself against a special white shading surface attached directly on the sensor glass. This provides protection against dust, eliminating unwanted black lines on the scanned image.
Clean, clear images every time
When scanning thin documents, the new Prevent Bleed Through/Remove feature prevents text or drawings on the backside becoming visible on the scanned image. The improved moire reduction feature reduces unwanted moire pattern effects when scanning documents with heavy graphic elements at lower resolutions.
Easy-to-use software included
With Canon CapturePerfect software it's easy to create multiple page files and add, remove or change the order of pages. The searchable PDF feature turns paper documents into full-text searchable electronic documents. Control who can access, print, and edit documents with PDF password protection.
