Sabine
Albers

Born and raised in the Netherlands, Sabine Albers has long been entranced by the magic of photography.

After receiving her bachelor’s degree, Sabine was awarded the Golden Light Bulb for “Most Promising New Photographer of the Year” (ADCN 1998). She quickly established herself in advertising and editorial circles, but it was her passion for documenting social issues that drove her further afield. After sailing a 38ft catamaran from the Pacific Islands to Sydney, Sabine fell in love with Australia – making it her base since 2003.

Her work can be seen in such volumes as I am, a portrait book of handicapped children and Australia’s Nurses, another portrait project featuring Australian Army nurses who served in the Vietnam War. Her commercial clients include Getty Images, Vodafone, Unilever, FIFA, Red Bull and BBC Worldwide.
