Whilst the RF-S 18-45mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM lens is designed to get the most out of an APS-C sized sensor, it can also be used on EOS R Full Frame cameras¹. This makes the lens a great go-to for those wanting to expand their existing RF lens kit without worrying about adapters.
The light and compact design of the RF-S 18-45mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM is a great feature for those wanting an all purpose zoom lens without the heavy bulkiness of larger lenses, especially for those conscious about weight while travelling.
When shooting in Manual Focus, the RF-S 18-45mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM can focus from a distance of 15cm², allowing you to get up close and photograph finer details.
Get up to 4.0 stops of Image Stabilisation in lens, and up to 6.5 stops with coordinated control Image Stabilisation when attached to a compatible R Series camera with in body stabilisation. This will assist with camera shake and reduce image blur when shooting hand-held in low light situations.
The RF-S 18-45mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM is equipped with a lead-screw type stepping motor (STM) to allow for smooth and quiet drive action, making it a great option for creating video content.
