Ever wondered how photographers capture those amazing photos of stars at night?
Join the Canon Collective for an evening workshop of night and astro photography. Get hands on training with the collective ambassadors as they guide you through the night sky in setting up your frame, focusing and the correct settings to get those amazing night sky photos.
This class is perfect for those who are interested in landscape and Astro photography and want to learn these techniques. Your ambassadors will take you through the process of setting up the camera, which lens and settings to use.
On completion of this course you will understand:
• How to use manual camera setting
• How to focus on the stars in the dark
• Which settings work best for astrophotography
• Understanding how to get the most out of your tripod
• Landscape composition
• Incorporating a subject into the scene for more impact
• Planning for Astrophotography
Please note the Visibility of the Galactic Core begins at 10:36PM. This workshop is designed to teach you how to capture astro photography however we cannot guarantee the weather or visibility of the Milky Way.

Composition, Manual Exposure Control, and Tripod Etiquette.
Camera, lens, tripod, empty memory card, and fully charged batteries. A range of Canon lenses and Canon DSLR cameras will be available for you to try at this workshop.
Meeting at the Dubbo Observatory. Parking spaces available.
General fitness required, grip sole with closed toe shoe recommended. Warm clothes recommended. Where the event takes place outside we can’t control the environment so please take care in your surroundings.
