About the event:

Join the Canon Collective at Darwin Botanical Gardens and learn how to master macro photography using the Canon range of macro lenses and speedlites.

Each guest will receive shared access to a range of Canon macro lenses, speedlites and EOS cameras.

On completion of this course you will understand:

• How to be confident in capturing macro images in any light and conditions
• How to use speedlites to increase depth of field, detail and freeze motion
• How to use flash duration to replace the need for fast shutter speeds
• How to balance exposure with ambient light and flash

Techniques covered:

Understanding your DSLR and set up for successful macro photography, flash settings, focus, depth of field, using flash duration to freeze motion.

Recommended equipment:

EOS Camera, memory card & fully charged batteries. A range of Canon macro lenses, speedlites and Canon EOS cameras will be available for all guests to use.

Event location:

Meet in the main carpark off Geranium St. Parking is available.

Important Information

General Fitness required, grip sole with closed toe shoe recommended. Where the event takes place outside we can’t control the environment so please take care in your surroundings.
