About the event:
Join Canon Collective Ambassador, Colin Baker
and the Rangers at Australia Zoo for the Mourachan Outback Photography Expedition!
In addition to our annual Steve Irwin Wildlife Reserve trip, we are adding another Australia Zoo reserve, located in central Queensland you will adventure around to capture the most spectacular sunrises and sunsets in the central plains of this great state.
Mourachan is a 118,000 acre property which is a stronghold for endangered snakes, along with other species of fauna and flora of conservation significance. After years of agriculture and clearing, Steve and Terri Irwin began to repair the land and formulated a plan to conserve the diversity of the semi-arid ecosystems and the wildlife, a safe haven where native animals could re-establish populations.
If birds are your thing you'll be comforted to know that there will be more than you can poke a stick at, coupled with long lenses provided by the Canon Collective
it will be a twitchers paradise.
During this expedition there will be astrophotography by night, sunrise, birding and sunset photography by day, with all meals provided, clean bedding, hot showers and flushing toilets this is a glamping experience.
Over the course of the week we will also tackle and de-bug any photography questions you have, putting your questions into practical exercises. Of course Colin will also have a number of loan lenses for this very small, private tour to share and we can even supliment your kit prior to departure.
