Join Greg Sullavan from Canon Collective for an in-depth practical workshop on birds and wildlife photography at Oxley Creek Common, including the use of a range of Canon EOS cameras and telephoto lenses included. In this workshop, we will spend the first hour discussing how to get the best from your EOS camera to maximise your chances of successfully capturing stunning wildlife photographs. Then for 2 hours you will experience photographing wild birds as a group and then on your own to discover your own inspiration from one of Brisbane's best photography walks, Oxley Creek Common. The surrounding bush-land homes a vast variety of wild birds including Eagles, Falcons, Hawks, Kites, Fairy Wrens, Honey Eaters, Bee Eaters, Finches, Waders, Shore Birds, Mannikins and much more.
During this masterclass, you will be taken through many of Greg's incites and experience to better understanding your gear, the setup, and techniques used in nature photography such as:
• Camera settings and set up for successful wildlife photography
• Focus set up and techniques
• Introduction to back button focus
• Exposure and metering for wildlife and nature photography
• Aperture and depth of field when using long lenses
• Shutter speed and how it affects your wildlife images
• How to use TV, AV and Manual setting and when to use which mode

• Working with light and dealing with problems you might encounter in the wild
