Wedding Photography Mentoring Program

Do you want to learn the art of wedding photography?
Canon Collective Ambassador Greg Sullavan will be mentoring a limited number of photographers across 5 workshops in Brisbane. With more than 15 years experience shooting weddings, Greg has shot more than 200 weddings and has won numerous awards for his unique wedding photography style.
This event is for Collective members who are serious about shooting wedding photography.
Please be aware that in these workshops, we will not be shooting.
Greg will be outlining everything from the pre-wedding consultation to the day of the wedding.
In the first event, we will look into the business model of wedding photography and answer questions about pre-wedding consultations, photographic packages, suppliers, insurance, wedding day schedules, camera gear, customer expectations, contracts and etiquette. We will also touch on workflow, album design and selling your prints.
During event 2, we will discuss the brides 'getting ready' shots, grooms preparations, shooting in natural light, how to pose bridesmaids and groomsmen, travel and timing.
Event 3 focuses on the service, how to shoot in different locations, low-light photography, focus techniques, camera modes, lens choices, capturing emotional responses and second shooters assistants.
Event 4 will then explore the location shoot, golden hour, choosing the location, dealing with chauffeurs, wedding planners and reception managers, lighting set-ups, flash vs available light, involving the bridal party and things to do when you run out of ideas!
The final session will be able the reception, the Bride and Grooms entrance, cutting the cake, the first dance, the bouquet throw, low-light venues, when to eat, how to win over the Mother of the Bride, shooting speeches and when the best time to leave is.
