- Photographing Babies Workshop at Bonyathon Park
Calling all amazing mums out there, the Canon Collective is a group of likeminded photographers that can help you develop the skills to take better photos of your family. In this session we will help you to take better photos of your family by understanding the foundation of photography.
Join Canon Collective Ambassador, Steve Huddy, for an introduction to portrait photography. Hosted during school hours, this session is intended for you to bring your little one down at the park. Together we can learn some tips and tricks on capturing some great candid portraits.
This introduction is intended to provide you with the foundations to go away and shoot some candid portraits in natural light. Head outside, and all you need is your camera and subject. During this session we will cover lens selection and semi automatic exposure modes, so you can focus on capturing the moment rather than getting too caught up in balancing exposures. We will also discuss using natural light, nailing your focus even when there’s lots of movement and practice some introductory composition techniques.
These sessions are not a sales session, they are an after the box service provided by Canon for our community absolutely free of charge to help you feel more comfortable and in control of your camera.
Foundations of photography, candid, lens selection, semi-automatic exposure modes, using natural light, focusing and Introductory composition.
Please bring your Canon Camera, lenses, empty memory cards and charged camera batteries. There will be a few loan cameras and lenses on the day. Bring a blanket, favourite toys and some snacks to keep the little ones entertained.
Onsite parking is free.
You will be required to bring your own little person to photograph, no models or subjects will be provided by Canon. As this event takes place outdoors, please be mindful of your surroundings.
