About the event:

Join Canon Collective Ambassador, Jay Collier, to learn how to master detailed macro photography of plants, flowers and insects using flash at the National Rhododendron Garden in Olinda.

Learn the advantage of lighting your macro photography using a range of Canon speedlite products to maximize depth of field, creatively control light and capture pin sharp results every time.

Each guest will receive a 100mm f2.8L macro lens and a range of Canon speedlites for the duration of this workshop. A range of Canon EOS cameras will also be available to use on the day. (please ensure you bring 8x AA batteries)

Recommended equipment:

Please BYO camera body, batteries, memory cards and 8x AA batteries. If you own a reflector please bring it along also or if not an A4 sheet of white paper. Each guest will receive a Canon Macro lens and Canon Speedlite products.

Event location:

Free parking available. Please meet in the main car park closest to the right hand side of the entry (first driveway to the right).

Important Information

A general fitness level is required as we will be walking up and down some steep walkways. We recommend closed toe shoes for walking. As this event takes place outdoors, please be mindful of your surroundings.
