About the event:

Join Jay Collier from Canon Collective for a 2 hour long exposure Ocean landscapes workshop using Haida ND filters at Bridgewater Bay in Blairgowrie, on the always stunning Mornington Peninsula.

Each guest will receive a complete Haida ND Filter kit comprising of a 6,10 and 15 stop ND filter as well as a 3 stop ND Grad to use on the day to capture stunning ocean seascapes.

Run as a small group of 6, this exclusive workshop will give guests plenty of 1 on 1 time to fully understand how to photograph a range of long exposure landscape images using ND filters.

On completion of this workshop guests will understand:

• how to use ND filters
• how to calculate long exposure times
• how to read the scene and select shutter speeds for the best effect
• improve your composition
• Learn how to capture long exposure panoramic images

Recommended equipment:

All guests must BYO, Tripod, Canon EOS camera and wide angle lenses, memory cards, spare batteries, reef shoes or waterproof shoes, Water bottle, snacks, weather appropriate clothing, and sunscreen. A selection of Canon EOS cameras and lenses will also be available to try. Each guest will receive a complete Haida ND filter kit to use for the duration of the workshop.

Event location:

Meeting at the car park at the end of St Johns Wood, Blairgowrie, VIC 3942. Free parking at carpark.

Important Information

A good level of fitness is required as the access is fire beach paths with includes uphill and downhill walking through sand as well as across uneven surfaces, boulders, rock pools and through shallow water. Reef shoes or waterproof shoes with a good grip sole and closed toe will be recommended as you will be standing in salt water. Where the event takes place outside we can’t control the environment so please take care in your surroundings.
