About the event:


Join African wildlife photography expert Jay Collier and learn the many key tips to successful wildlife photography at Werribee Open Range Zoo.

Each guest will each receive a long lens for the entire day such as the EF 200-400mm, EF 300mm f2.8L, EF 400mm f4 DO or EF 100-400mm series II, as well as shared use of a range of Canon Digital SLR (If you do wish to try a EOS 1D X series camera, you will require a CF card as the cameras do not take SD cards).

Please note: You will need to purchase a ticket to enter the Werribee Open Range Zoo either, online here or on the day.

Recommended equipment:

Please bring your camera and lenses that you also wish to use on the day, monopod to support the long lenses if you own one, memory cards and spare batteries. Don't forget sturdy walking shoes and dress for being out in the sun as the zoo has limited shelter so remember to wear a hat and sunscreen.

Event location:

Zoo parking available. Meet at the front gates in front of the ticketing windows.

Important Information

Cost of this event will be the entry fee to the Zoo. A general fitness level is required. We recommend closed toe shoes for walking. As this event takes place outdoors, please be mindful of your surroundings.
