Canon’s CR-2 AF is ideal for small pupil photography and can cover up to 3.3mm in diameter. Take images of ISO 400/800/1600 with std flash intensity whilst reducing light glare for a better patient experience. For additional Fundus Autofluorescence Photography (FAF) the CR-2 PLUS AF highlights areas of intensity and abnormalities in the blood vessels and does not require the use of chemicals.
The CR-2 PLUS AF incorporates a large, high-definition CMOS sensor with 18 megapixels. Adjust the LCD to suit the user's point of view.
FAF helps monitor macular waste (e.g. lipofuscin) which can accumulate in the Retinal Pigment Epithelial (RPE) layer. (FAF Function is available on the CR-2 AF PLUS only).
Automatically focus the eye to achieve the desired image. In dark rooms, the operation panel illuminates for easier navigation.
Automatically switch from the external eye to retinal observation mode. Auto-Capture captures the image when the eye is properly focused.
The low flash intensity of the CR-2 PLUS AF minimises miosis to improve patient comfort and reduce the "ghost" image the patient sees after exposure.
Red-Free evaluates the Retinal Nerve Fiber Layer and vascular structure of the retina. Vascular view and Choroid view filters are also included.
Take quick exams or images with low flash intensity. A wide range of low ISO speeds are supported including ISO 200, 400, 800, 1600, 3200 and 6400.
Images can be captured, viewed, processed, printed and saved to a permanent storage database. The Canon RICS complies with the DICOM®* Standard
