The image is blurred or out of focus

Autofocus may not work well on the following subjects. In such case, focus manually.

Manual Focus Adjustment

Adjust the zoom before you start the procedure.

1.Push the joystick ⋖ ⋗ to display the joystick guide.

2.Select ⋖ ⋗ [ FOCUS ] and press ⋖ ( SET ) ⋗.

[ MF ] appears on the screen.

3.Adjust ⋖ ⋗ the focus as necessary.

During focus lock, press ⋖ ( SET ) ⋗ to return the camcorder to autofocus.

Infinity Focus

Use this function when you wish to focus on faraway subjects such as mountains or fireworks.

Instead of step 3 in the previous procedure:

Push the joystick ⋖ ⋗ toward [ ] and hold it down.

[ ] appears.

If you operate the zoom or push the joystick ⋖ ⋗ and hold it down, [ ] changes to [MF] and the camcorder returns to manual focus.
