About the MAGNIFY Function

Content Id: 8200524700

Solution

This function is used for recording. You can magnify images that are displayed on the LCD screen by approximately 1.8 times by pressing the ⋖ ⋗ button.

You can magnify the image at the center of the screen to make it easier for you to focus manually.

If [MAGN.REC] in the menu is set to [OFF], you cannot record the magnified image. If you press the ⋖START/STOP⋗ button with the image magnified, the image will return to the previous display size.

In this case, if the MAGNIFY function is ON, "MAGN." appears in yellow on the LCD screen.

If [MAGN.REC] in the menu is set to [ON], you can record the magnified image to a tape.

In this case, if the MAGNIFY function is ON, "MAGN. REC" appears in red on the LCD screen.

Caution

This function is not available when capturing still images and simultaneously capturing still images while recording movies.
