The [Memory card error] message appears on the monitor

Solution

If the [Memory card error] message appears, please try the following methods.

Remove and reinstall the memory card.
Replace the memory card with a supplied memory card, or a different one.
Format the memory card.

Caution

Formatting (initializing) a memory card erases all data on the memory card. Copy the data from the memory card to a computer or other devices before formatting.

If the message appears even after you carried out the procedure above, the camera may be malfunctioning. In that case, please contact the service centers.
