Is it necessary to install new software on my computer even if a previous software version is already installed?

The software that you have been using may not support your new camera.

Therefore, if you purchase a new camera, it is necessary to install the software that is supplied with the camera to overwrite a previous version.

Caution

Please log on to the computer as an Administrator to uninstall the applications.
Even if you install new software to overwrite a previous version, image data that you saved will not be erased. However, it is recommended to back up image data just in case.

Installing new software to overwrite a previous version

1. Install the software that is supplied with your new camera to overwrite a previous version on your computer by referring to the following pages. (The procedures are the same as those for new installation.)

If you had been using [ZoomBrowser EX Ver4.0] or if your computer runs Mac OS X, installation is completed after you have performed the procedures listed at the above links.

Caution

If you had been using [ZoomBrowser EX Ver3.x], it is necessary to carry out the operations below.
