The setting window of ScanGear (scanner driver) is not displayed properly. (Windows Vista)

Issue

When the setting window of ScanGear (Scanner Driver) is displayed, a part of characters may be hidden or an icon may be displayed out of the proper area.

Cause and solution

This phenomenon is caused by one of the following factors.

a. [800 x 600] is selected in [Resolution].

b. [Color scheme] is set to [Windows Aero] and [DPI Scaling] is set to [Larger scale].

Click [Start] -⋗ [Control Panel] -⋗ [Appearance and Personalization] -⋗ [Personalization] -⋗ [Display Settings].

Select a value higher than [800 x 600] in [Resolution], then click [OK].

Click [Start] -⋗ [Control Panel] -⋗ [Appearance and Personalization] -⋗ [Personalization].

To use [Windows Aero], click [Adjust font size (DPI)] -⋗ [Continue], then select [Default scale] in [DPI Scaling], and click [OK].

To use [Larger scale], click [Window Color and Appearance] -⋗ [Open classic appearance properties for more color options], select [Windows Classic] in [Color scheme], and click [OK].
