Firmware Version 2.1.0 incorporates the following fixes and enhancements: - Improved image quality in bright environments. - The usable gain range has been expanded from 0 - 72 dB to 0 - 84 dB. Note that the 0 - 72 dB range before V2.0.0 corresponds to 12 - 84 dB after the firmware update. - Now able to limit the lower limit of the automatically set gain. - Fixed the issue where thin horizontal lines appeared in images when shooting at fast shutter speeds. As a result, the [Extended Shutter Speed] option has been removed from the OSD menu. In addition, the shutter speed can now be set between 1/2400 - 1/4000 seconds. - Improved auto exposure control to reduce noise increase in dark scenes and better use a faster shutter speed in bright scenes. - [BT.709 Standard] and [Canon 709] gammas now support Smart Shade Control and Haze Compensation. - Now able to hide individual items on the shooting screen. - Now able to display the firmware version in the OSD menu.
To update the firmware, connect the computer and camera via a network and go to the camera's Settings page. For instructions on how to use the Settings page and update firmware, refer to the User Manual. When accessing the Settings page for the first time, refer to "Initial Network Connection Settings" in the User Manual.
The firmware contains software modules developed by third parties. The details are available in the download: Readme-E.txt. The Third-party Software License (ThirdPartySoftware-E.pdf) and the license conditions are available in the OpenSourceSoftware Folder which is inside the LICENSE folder.
