Help for Cloud registration or printing

Issue

If you need some help in registering to the Cloud or printing from the Cloud, try the procedures given below.

Cause and solution

[ Troubles in registering your printer ]

If you select Reject for any setting items in Caller rejection in Security control under FAX settings, the machine rejects calls for setting item selected Reject.

Cause and solution

When you enter the printer registration ID, "The invitation URL has expired." is displayed.

Login timeout (the login should be within 60 minutes).

You need to perform the registration again. Print the authentication URL and printer registration ID from the printer.

"The entered printer registration ID is incorrect." is displayed in entering the printer registration ID, or "User’s e-mail address or password is incorrect." is displayed in entering the password.

The entered printer registration ID or password may be wrong.

Check and enter the printer registration ID or password again. They are case-sensitive.

Cause and solution

Did not receive email that contained the URL needed to complete the registration.

The received mail may be automatically sorted in a box other than the inbox.

Check the boxes other than the inbox.

The mailer may be set to reject certain mails.

If you set your mailer to receive mails only from the specified domain(s) and reject the other mails, set the mailer to receive mails from @mail.cs.c-ij.com.

Then, perform the registration again. Print the authentication URL and printer registration ID from the printer.

The mail address you entered may be wrong (in this case, the mail will be sent to that wrong address).

[ Troubles in printing ]

Want to know the status or printing. Want to cancel printing in the middle of printing.

Log in to the login URL (http://cs.c-ij.com/). In [ Status ], you will see if it is being printed or in the print queue waiting to be printed.

To cancel the print job that is being printed, you must press the Stop button on the printer. It cannot be cancelled in [ Status ].

Want to register an additional printer.

To register another printer to Canon Inkjet Cloud Printing Center, follow the procedures below.

1. Print out the printer registration ID from the printer you would like to add.

( In the Home menu, tap [ Setup ], [ Web service setup ], [ Web service connection setup ], [ IJ Cloud Printing Center setup ].)

2. Visit and log in to Canon Inkjet Cloud Printing Center (http://cs.c-ij.com/) from your smartphone, tablet device, or other types of PDA.

3. In [ Mng. printer ], select [ Add printer ] and enter the printer registration ID that was printed in step 1.

Cause and solution

Cannot print after the printer is repaired.

When the printer is repaired, all the registered information is deleted and printing from the Cloud cannot be performed.

To enable Cloud printing, you need to register the printer and the printer owner again.

If you have the login account to Canon Inkjet Cloud Printing Center, just follow the procedures to register an additional printer.
