Changes in firmware:
Firmware Version 1.1.0 is incorporated with the following functional improvement.
• Improves the autofocus speed for movie when the EF-M 28mm F3.5 IS STM is attached to the EOS M10.

Firmware Version 1.1.0 is for cameras with Firmware Version 1.0.0. If the camera's firmware is already Version 1.1.0, it is not necessary to update the firmware.

When updating the firmware of the camera, please review the instructions thoroughly before you download the firmware.


Identification procedure:
Please check the serial number on the camera.
This firmware update is for products with the following serial numbers.

Products whose sixth digit from the left is "0"

Preparations for a firmware update:

Macintosh
1. After the downloaded compressed file (.dmg file) is extracted, a disk image of the firmware is mounted.

*Extracting the downloaded file:
The downloaded compressed file is automatically extracted, and a disk image of the firmware is mounted. If the download compressed file cannot be automatically extracted, double-click the file.

2. The mounted disk image contains the firmware (File name: M10_110.FI2, File size: 11,306,848 bytes) and instructions on the firmware update procedures (a PDF file in five languages: Japanese, English, French, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese).

Before starting the firmware update operations, please confirm the contents of the download, and carefully read through the firmware update procedures.
