Firmware Version 1.4.0 incorporates the following improvement: • Support has been added for the EOS R.
Please note interface cable is required in order to update the WFT-E7 to Firmware Version 1.2.0 or later.
Connection Requirements: In order to connect the Canon WFT-E7 with the Canon EOS R the following items are needed: Item WFT-E7 Firmware Version installed 1.4.0 or later Interface Cable "IFC-150AB III" or "IFC-40AB III."
In order to connect the Canon WFT-E7 with the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV / EOS 5DS / EOS 5DS R / EOS 7D Mark II the following items are needed: Item WFT-E7 Firmware Version installed 1.2.0 or later Interface Cable "IFC-150AB II" or "IFC-40AB II."
Support If your Wireless File Transmitter's firmware is already version 1.4.0 or later, it is not necessary to update the firmware. When updating your Wireless Transmitter's firmware, please review the instructions thoroughly before you update the firmware.
Preparations for a firmware update: Macintosh After the downloaded compressed file (.dmg file) is extracted, a disk image of the firmware is mounted.
