The details on how to shoot movies are described below.

Caution
1. Press the ⋖Power⋗ button.
2. The following screen appears.
The maximum shooting duration appears on the [LCD Monitor].
If it does not appear, press the ⋖⋗ button several times.
3. Press the ⋖Movie button⋗ (). The camera beeps once as recording begins.
[Elapsed Time] and
[Rec] appear on the [LCD Monitor].
Once shooting begins, take your finger off the ⋖Movie Button⋗ ().
Black bars displayed on the top and bottom edges of the screen indicate image areas not recorded.
Frames displayed around any detected faces indicate that they are in focus.
4. Resize the subject and recompose the shot as needed.
To zoom in and enlarge the subject, move the zoom lever toward ⋖⋗ (telephoto), and to zoom away from the subject, move it toward ⋖
⋗ (wide angle).
However, note that the sound of camera operations will be recorded.
Note that movies shot at zoom factors shown in blue will look grainy.
When you recompose shots, the focus, brightness, and colors will be automatically adjusted.
5. Press the ⋖Movie button⋗ () again to stop shooting. The camera beeps twice as recording stops.
Caution
If the camera is turned on while the ⋖⋗ button is held down, the camera will no longer sound. To activate sounds again, press the ⋖MENU⋗ (
) button and choose [Mute] on the [
] tab, and then press the ⋖
⋗⋖
⋗ buttons to choose [Off].
