Setting the IP address to the machine allows it to communicate with computers on the network.

Setting IP Address

The followings are the procedures for specifying the IP Address settings. If you set IP address automatically using such as DHCP, you can confirm the IP address settings by performing the procedure in "Confirming IP Address Settings" after configuring the IP Address settings.

Setting IP Address Automatically

The followings are the procedures for specifying the IP address automatically.

The default settings are as follows :

1. Press [Menu].

2. Press or to select ⋖SYSTEM SETTINGS⋗, then press [OK].

If the System Manager ID and System Password have been set, enter the System Manager ID and System Password using – [numeric keys], then press [Log In/Out].

3. Press or to select ⋖NETWORK SETTINGS⋗, then press [OK].

4. Press or to select ⋖TCP/IP SETTINGS⋗, then press [OK].

5. Press or to select ⋖IP ADDRESS AUTO.⋗, then press [OK].

6. Press or to select ⋖ON⋗, then press [OK].

7. Press or to select the desired protocol, then press [OK].

8. Press or to select ⋖ON⋗, then press [OK].

Setting IP Address Manually

The followings are the procedures for specifying the IP address manually.

The default settings are as follows :

1. Press [Menu].

2. Press or to select ⋖SYSTEM SETTINGS⋗, then press [OK].

If the System Manager ID and System Password have been set, enter the System Manager ID and System Password using – [numeric keys], then press [Log In/Out].

3. Press or to select ⋖NETWORK SETTINGS⋗, then press [OK].

4. Press or to select ⋖TCP/IP SETTINGS⋗, then press [OK].

5. Press or to select ⋖IP ADDRESS AUTO.⋗, then press [OK].

6. Press or to select ⋖OFF⋗, then press [OK].

7. Press or to select ⋖REG. IP ADDRESS⋗, then press [OK].

8. Press or to select ⋖IP ADDRESS⋗, then press [OK].

9. Use – [numeric keys] to enter the IP address, then press [OK].

10. Press or to select ⋖SUBNET MASK⋗, then press [OK].

11. Use – [numeric keys] to enter the subnet mask, then press [OK].

12. Press or to select ⋖GATEWAY ADDRESS⋗, then press [OK].

13. Use – [numeric keys] to enter the gateway address, then press [OK].

14. Turn OFF the main power on the right side of the machine, then turn ON the power to restart the machine.

Confirming IP Address Settings

To confirm IP address settings, follow the procedure below.

1. Press [Menu].

2. Press or to select ⋖SYSTEM SETTINGS⋗, then press [OK].

If the System Manager ID and System Password have been set, enter the System Manager ID and System Password using – [numeric keys], then press [Log In/Out].

3. Press or to select ⋖NETWORK SETTINGS⋗, then press [OK].

4. Press or to select ⋖TCP/IP SETTINGS⋗, then press [OK].

5. Press or to select ⋖VIEW IP ADDRESS⋗, then press [OK].

6. Press or to select ⋖IP ADDRESS⋗, ⋖SUBNET MASK⋗, or ⋖GATEWAY ADDRESS⋗ for displaying the setting you want to check, then press [OK].

7. Press [Stop/Reset] to return to the standby mode.
