Shooting in Monochrome (PowerShot SX400 IS)

Solution

The procedure for shooting in monochrome is explained below.

1. Press the ⋖Power⋗ button to turn the camera on.

2. Press the ⋖⋗ button until [LIVE]* is displayed.

* [LIVE] will be displayed as the default mode at the time of purchase. If the settings have been changed, the selected shooting mode will be displayed.

3. Press the ⋖FUNC./SET⋗ () button, choose [Shooting Mode] from the menu, and then press the ⋖FUNC./SET⋗ () button again.

4. Press the ⋖⋗⋖⋗ buttons to choose [ ] (Monochrome), and then press the ⋖FUNC./SET⋗ () button.

5. After pressing ⋖DISP⋗, press the ⋖⋗ or ⋖buttons to choose a color tone, and then press the ⋖FUNC./SET⋗ () button.

A preview is shown of how your shot will look with the effect applied.

Selectable color tones are listed in the following table.

B/WBlack and white shots.
SepiaSepia tone shots.
BlueBlue and white shots.

6. Shoot.
