Print Head Holder Does Not Move to the Center

Content Id: 8200132800

Issue

Caution

Opening the Scanning Unit (Printer Cover) while printing moves the Print Head Holder to the right.

Close the Scanning Unit (Printer Cover), and reopen it after printing finishes.

Cause and solution

The machine is not ready

Check if the Power lamp is lit green.

The Print Head Holder will not move unless the power is on. If the Power lamp is off, close the Scanning Unit (Printer Cover) and turn the machine on.

While the Power lamp is flashing green, the machine is initializing. Wait until the Power lamp stops flashing and remains lit green, and then open the Scanning Unit (Printer Cover) again.

Cause and solution

An error has occurred on the machine

Close the Scanning Unit (Printer Cover), follow the directions displayed in the error message to resolve the error, and then reopen it. See "An Error Message Is Displayed on the LCD".

Cause and solution

The Scanning Unit (Printer Cover) has been left open for 10 minutes or longer

If the Scanning Unit (Printer Cover) is left open for more than 10 minutes, the Print Head Holder moves to the right side to prevent the Print Head from drying out. Close and reopen the Scanning Unit (Printer Cover) to return the Print Head Holder to the center.

Cause and solution

The machine has been printing continuously for a long time

If the machine has been printing continuously for a long time, close the Scanning Unit (Printer Cover), wait a while, then reopen it.

If the machine has been printing continuously for a long time, the Print Head will overheat, and the machine stops printing temporarily to protect the Print Head.

In this case, close the Scanning Unit (Printer Cover) for a while, then reopen it to move the Print head Holder to the left.
