Australian master photographers zoom in on Geelong's creative spirit

29th February 2016
The vibrant, waterside city of Geelong will play host to four of Australia’s best visual storytellers – including cinematographer Abraham Joffe, underwater photographer Darren Jew, extreme sports photographer Krystle Wright and landscape photographer Peter Eastway – from 18-20 March as part of the Canon Collective’s Australian tour.

Supported by Tourism Victoria and Tourism Greater Geelong and The Bellarine, the festival will see these four imaging greats inspire and teach Geelong locals and visitors how to capture and tell their unique stories through photography. Assisted by the Canon Collective tutors, festival goers can enjoy a range of experiences such as snorkelling with seals and dolphins, helicopter flights over the Twelve Apostles, and a skate park adventure. Not only will they be able to meet and participate in workshops with some of the best photographers in the country, they will also be able to try their hand at the photo editing and printing suites available, to make for a rich, end-to-end experience.

With both free-to-join and paid experiences, the festival commences at 8.00am on Friday 18 March at the festival’s Collective Headquarters, the National Wool Museum. Details of all the experiences available can be found at the festival website: https://www.canon.com.au/geelong.
