Sydney, AUSTRALIA – 16 September 2026 Canon Australia today announces the expansion of its imagePROGRAF TM Series with eight new TM Series large-format printer models featuring 5-colour pigment ink: the imagePROGRAF TM-500, TM-510, TM-515, TM-600, TM-610 and TM-615, as well as the first multifunction printer (MFP) models in the series, the imagePROGRAF TM-510M (24-inch) and TM-610M (36-inch), both equipped with new built-in large-format scanners.

First Built-in-Large Format Scanner in the imagePROGRAF TM Series

The newly developed TM-610M and TM-510M integrate a large format scanner directly into the printer, creating a convenient all-in-one solution for organisations that regularly scan, copy and print oversized documents.

Despite incorporating a scanner, the devices maintain a compact footprint, making them well suited to environments where space is limited. The flat-top design enables users to easily load large documents from above, simplifying day-to-day operation and improving workflow efficiency. A contact image sensor (CIS) scanner helps improve the digitisation of documents thanks to light sources positioned on both sides of the sensor, helping to minimise shadows and variations in brightness caused by folds, wrinkles or creases in original documents.

Preset Function Simplifies High-Quality Scanning and Copying

The TM-610M and TM-510M introduce an intuitive Preset Function that enables users to select document types from the operation panel to automatically apply the most suitable scan mode. Both models incorporate a large 5-inch colour touchscreen, based on the interface used in Canon's multifunction office devices, complete with customisable menus to support specific workflow requirements.

High-Speed Output with Improved Drawing Reproduction

The new TM Series models feature Canon's newly developed matte black ink, delivering enhanced black density for superior reproduction of fine lines, intricate details and small text commonly found in technical drawings.

Whether producing CAD drawings, engineering plans or architectural documentation, users can achieve crisp, sharp output. The enhanced black characteristics allow drawings to be reproduced accurately, improving readability and helping professionals work with greater confidence.

Vibrant Posters and High-Impact Colour Output

In addition to technical document production, the TM-610M and TM-510M are designed to support a wide range of poster applications. Leveraging Canon's advanced image design technology, the printers maximise the colour performance of the ink system to produce vivid, high-impact poster output. Even when printing on plain paper, users can create attractive promotional materials, educational displays, retail signage and presentation graphics with outstanding colour reproduction.

Resource conservation design

As part of its commitment to environmental sustainability, certain parts of the main printer body use recycled steel, which accounts for approximately 5% of the steel used, and recycled resin, which accounts for approximately 25% of the resin1 used.

Tsutomu Ishihara, General Manager Product Marketing at Canon Oceania comments, “As the demand for integrated large format solutions continues to grow, the new imagePROGRAF TM-610M and TM-510M bring scanning, copying and printing together in a single compact platform, enabling customers to work more efficiently while benefiting from improved image quality, intuitive operation and enhanced productivity."

Availability
The new imagePROGRAF TM-Series are scheduled to be commercially available from Canon Australia and accredited Canon partners from 16 September 2026.

1 The percentage of recycled steel is calculated based on the total mass of steel or resin used in the printer body.
