Business Printer and Consumables Recycling

Canon provides a nationwide take‑back service for the responsible end‑of‑life management of its electronic products through its co‑regulatory partner, the Australia and New Zealand Recycling Platform (ANZRP). The program applies to both consumer and business products, including EPEAT‑registered and non‑EPEAT‑registered equipment.

 
Printer Recycling
Through ANZRP’s TechCollect program, end‑of‑life products are collected nationally from consumers and businesses at no cost and are processed through independently audited recycling and material recovery pathways. The program operates in accordance with Australia’s Recycling and Waste Reduction Act and supports environmentally sound management of electronic waste.

Business Products E-Waste take-back program


  • This is managed by either Canon or our Canon Accredited Partners.
  • Management of leased products where either Canon or Canon Accredited Partners retains legal ownership.
  • Trade-in/Exchange programs where the customer surrenders the product to Canon (or Canon Accredited Partners) in return for compensation or replacement product.
Canon’s Customer Service team coordinates the collection and ensures devices are transferred to approved, certified recycling facilities for responsible processing. Canon assumes responsibility for the compliant recycling and processing of devices once received at the approved recycling facility, using audited recycling pathways.

How to recycle your Canon Business Printer

Customers can arrange collection of end‑of‑life Canon devices for recycling through one of the following channels:

  • Complete the online Canon Business Relocations form – this service supports relocations and recycling at the end of a product's life.
  • Contact the Relocations Team to organise recycling of your business printer by calling Canon Customer Service on 13 13 83 and selecting option “0”. This number is also printed on the service label affixed to the device.
  • Contact your dedicated Account Manager or Client Services Manager.
  • Contact your Canon Authorised Partner.

Consumables Recycling
Canon offers take‑back services for end‑of‑life toner and ink cartridges across both business and consumer channels. In Australia, Canon partners with Cartridges 4 Planet Ark (C4PA) and accredited recycler Close the Loop, whose program operates with a zero‑waste‑to‑landfill commitment.

Business customers order a C4PA collection box through Close the Loop's free Cartridge Recycling Program, which supports toner and ink cartridge recycling.
