At 59g, it’s the smallest and lightest microphone in the Canon range. Power and audio run through your camera’s Multi-function Shoe, so there are no cables to snag on your vari-angle screen, no batteries to charge and no switch to forget.
The supercardioid pickup focuses on the voice in front of your camera and also captures whoever is filming, while reducing room echo and background noise compared with a built-in microphone.
The built-in shock mount reduces lens vibration noise, and the included wind screen helps on breezy days. Press the MENU button to adjust recording level, wind filter and attenuator on your camera.
