Firmware update 2.1.6.1 00 incorporates the following improvement.

Changes: Firmware update 2.1.6.1 00 incorporates the following improvement. 

1. Fixes a phenomenon in which, when specific lenses* are attached to EOS C300 (Dual Pixel CMOS AF) cameras running Firmware Version 2.1.3.1.00 or later, the image stabilization mechanism does not operate even when the lens’ IS switch is in the ON position (* EF 24-70mm F4 L IS USM / EF-S 15-85mm F3.5-5.6 IS USM) 

Note: 

Firmware Version 2.1.6.1.00 is only for EOS C300 cameras which have Firmware Version 2.1.2.1.00 - 2.1.5.1.00 with the Dual Pixel CMOS AF Feature Upgrade applied. Please note that this phenomenon does not occur in Versions other than those specified above. 

If your camera’s firmware is already version 2.1.6.1.00, it is not necessary to update the firmware. Once the camera is updated to the latest firmware version, it cannot be restored to a previous version.
