Potential issue

In some units of the models listed below, white spots may exist on the optical layer which can result in the appearance of dark circular patterns on the captured image under certain shooting conditions. This is due to irregularities on an optical layer, located in front of the image sensor.

Affected products

Some EOS 750D/EOS 760D units with first and second digits of the serial number “01” or “02”.

Identification Procedure:

Serial Number: [XXnnnnnnnnnn]

If “XX” is “01” or “02”, the phenomenon described above may occur.

NOTE: If the battery cover contains the marking illustrated below, the camera is NOT affected even if the first and second digits match the pattern described.

Support

Potentially affected cameras will be inspected and prompt service action will be taken.
