Weighing only 270g, the RF-S 55-210mm f/5-7.1 IS STM is a compact and lightweight telephoto lens bringing you closer to the action. It's a great next addition to your kit, covering from everyday snapshots, to sports, wildlife and travel with up to 3.8x times zoom.
The RF-S 55-210mm f/5-7.1 IS STM features a lens control ring for customisable control over shutter speed, ISO or exposure compensation. The easy-to-identify textured surface gives you tangible feedback to adjust while looking through the viewfinder and concentrating on your subject.
The RF-S 55-210mm f/5-7.1 IS STM is equipped with a lead-screw type stepping motor (STM) to allow for smooth and quiet autofocus, making a great option for video content.
Shoot with confidence even when light levels drop. The RF-S 55-210mm f/5-7.1 IS STM has 4.5 stop Image Stabilization and in conjunction with selected EOS R series camera, can achieve up to 7.0 stops coordinated control IS. Shoot handheld in dim light or while using slower shutter speeds without the need of a tripod.
The RF-S 55-210mm f/5-7.1 IS STM works hand-in-hand with cameras equipped with focus breathing correction when recording videos. This allows you to adjust focus without altering the field of view, essentially scaling the frame for natural looking footage.
As well as an increased focal length at the telephoto end, the RF-S 55-210mm f/5-7.1 IS STM has a minimum focusing distance of 73cm allowing you to use the lens for close up photography to capture beautiful details.
