RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM Firmware Version 2.0.0

Firmware Version 2.0.0 incorporates the following enhancement:

Supports continuous shooting in silent shooting mode with the EOS R running Firwmare Version 1.1.0 or later.

This firmware update is for lenses equipped with older firmware versions. If the lens’s firmware is already version 2.0.0, update is unnecessary.

The version of the lens firmware can be checked on the camera menu.

Notes:
 • EOS R Firmware Version must be 1.1.0 or later.

Preparations for the firmware update:

In the folder you downloaded are the firmware (File name: RF017200.afu / File size: 2,883,636 bytes) and instructions on the firmware update procedures (a PDF file in five languages: Japanese, English, French, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese). Before starting the firmware update operations, please be sure to carefully confirm your understanding of these instructions.
