To Users of the RF70-200mm F2.8 L IS USM Interchangeable Lenses for Digital Mirrorless Cameras

The following phenomenon has been confirmed on the RF70-200mm F2.8 L IS USM interchangeable lens for mirrorless cameras. Kindly be informed that the latest firmware, Version 1.0.6, incorporated with a fix for the phenomenon is now available for download from the Web.

We would like to offer our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience caused to our users.

Phenomenon
When performing AF shooting at close-range on the Tele-end (200mm), the image may become slightly front-focused.

RF70-200mm F2.8 L IS USM

Note: This firmware update is for lenses running firmware version 1.0.5 or earlier. The lens firmware version can be checked in the camera’s menu.

Market Support
Firmware version 1.0.6, which is incorporated with a fix, can be used to update the lens firmware to improve the phenomenon. After downloading the latest firmware version, the lens firmware can be updated via a camera.
